Lerner is a house-trained foxhound mix who is alert to his surroundings, inquisitive, and attentive to the person he is with. Lerner shows he has an outgoing and fun personality when he has someone to play with him. He likes to play fetch, but you will be the one both throwing and retrieving! Lerner just points out where it is. Since he has a high prey drive, he would need to be in a home without other small furry creatures. He likes other similar sized dog pals and is OK with children who a big/sturdy enough that he won't knock them over by accident. Main Line Animal Rescue does local adoptions to families with excellent vet references and an installed fenced yard. You must have a secure traditional fence OR a professionally installed underground electric fenced area in which a dog can safely play without getting out). The fence must be securely attached to your house, dog pens, dog runs and a tie outs are not approved.
