Leota's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Leota (named after Madam Leota) came to us as a pup and grew into an 80-lb adult, 18-mo old adult with us! She is a shepherd mix, and has been available for a year! Her DOB was 12/21/2023, and is a sweet, snuggly, playful girl!
Leota is super playful, good with all dogs big & small, good with kids 5+, (I'm sure smaller kids too but needs to be taught to go easy/slower with babies/toddlers- we don't have any here). No exposure to cats yet but was instantly good with a new puppy and a new 2 yr old pug so it's possible! She would do best in a home with another youngish dog as a play companion or an active family. Leota likes to play a lot, take a nice nap, and comes to you for brief snuggles. She likes to nap, lay and sleep independently nearby. Leota is just learning collars & leash training so that will need to be continued in her new home. She is potty trained to an open sliding door in her current foster home.
Looking for an experienced big breed owner for this beautiful shepherd mix! Training & socialization are super important for a big breed owner and will be absolutely need to be continued by a dedicated owner.
Please remember - all puppies will need potty training and this one will still require that in her new home. No puppy is accident proof, so homes must be puppy-proofed & ready before pup adoption.
cause4sbpaws@gmail.com
