Petey is a 6 year old pittie mix who has quite a story to tell. Found stray with one of the worst skin conditions we have ever seen, Petey now looks like a new dog with a new lease on life! Petey must have been neglected for years prior to being found stray, but thankfully has not lost his kind soul and love for humans. He loves getting out for walks, and has a whole crew of staff and volunteers who love spending time with this special guy.<br/><br/>We have remedied Petey's horrible skin with a combination of prescription food, medication, and medicated baths. An adopter would need to continue these things for life, unless instructed otherwise by their primary vet. <br/><br/>With the correct introduction, Petey can enjoy meeting other dogs, but is not a fan of felines. He is a strong boy and is very drawn to food he is not supposed to be having, so we recommend a home with kids 12 and up.
