Leo

Leo has been with our rescue for 6 months. His story is one of resilience! He came to us from Aruba with much baggage. He was in a home with many dogs, where he was abused. When we got him, we noticed he was limping. We took him to the vet and they told us he had a previous leg injury that did not heal correctly. He needed surgery! Our rescue stood by him and went through with the surgery. <br/><br/>As you can imagine, coming from a home with abuse, Leo was apprehensive to trust people. He would run and hide. He has come a long way but it still takes a few days to build his trust. Once he knows you, he gives his humans a fierce, loyal love. <br/><br/>Leo is completely potty trained and crate trained. He is exceptionally smart. He gets along with other dogs when properly introduced and is wonderful with cats. He only weighs 23lbs and will not grown any bigger.
