Leo's Story
At just 6 months old, Leo has already been through more than any puppy ever should. This handsome Pittie mix was found abandoned and starving by a Good Samaritan who stepped in, nursed him back to health, and gave him a second chance at life. Now, Leo is ready to find the forever family who will show him just how wonderful life can be.

Leo is up to date on his vaccines and will be neutered soon. He's ok with cats and would be good with kids that can be gentle with him. He would likely be fearful of boisterous activity. He's still learning the ropes when it comes to house training, and he's working on overcoming some fear and anxiety. Given the rough start he's had in his short life, can you really blame him? He just needs someone willing to give him the time, patience, and love he deserves to learn that the world can be a safe place.

The good news? Leo has a playful side that shines through! He absolutely loves playing with other dogs and has shown zero aggression or resource guarding. He has so much potential and so much life ahead of him — he just needs a person who believes in him.

Leo may not be a perfectly polished puppy just yet, but he's a work in progress who deserves someone willing to be part of his journey. With consistency, kindness, and a little patience, this boy has every chance to blossom into an incredible companion.

After such a heartbreaking start, Leo deserves more than just a home. He deserves a soft place to land, a full belly, a safe bed, a family to call his own, and a lifetime of never having to wonder where he belongs.

Could you be the person who changes Leo's story? Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet boy. His hardest days should be behind him — let's make sure his best days are still ahead.

If you want to apply to adopt please go to https://www.onebyonerescue.org/adoptablepets

Together, we're saving lives—one by one!

One By One Rescue is an all volunteer, 501c3 non-profit foster based rescue.
