Leo's Story

Leo is a 12 lb., one year old (2/2026} Pomeranian / Chihuahua mix. Leo is inquisitive, smart and great with other small breed dogs. He does take a few moments to get used to a new environment but when he’s comfortable, he’s Mr. Personality Plus. Leo knows his name and comes running when you call him, especially when treats are involved (and he knows that word as well) He loves human attention but needs to work on leash walking and house training. Leo would love another dog in the house to play with and a fenced in yard to burn off his energy. He’s presently living in northeast Florida. Shih Tzus & Furbabies is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of small purebred and mixed breed dogs. We believe that, somewhere, there is a home for every dog, but that we have a responsibility to place our dogs into homes that will best meet their needs, both physically and emotionally. We look for people with patient and loving hearts, and an understanding of the furbaby mind. Our furbabies are examined and treated by our veterinarians, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered before placement. They are also thoroughly temperament assessed and rehabiliated in loving volunteer foster homes. We are located in Georgia but rescue and rehome throughout the United States.
