Leo's Story
Meet Leo ? The Littlest Lover Boy

Leo may be the smallest of his litter, but his heart is massive. This 13-week-old pit bull–type pup was born under a porch in Oklahoma and arrived in the PNW with his siblings and mom after surviving a hoarding situation. Thanks to their mama’s incredible instincts, Leo came to us healthy, safe, and ready for a new life — and now he’s ready to find his forever family.

Leo is the snuggliest, calmest puppy of the bunch — always the first to curl up for a nap and happiest when tucked into your lap or nestled in with a buddy. His gentle spirit and loving nature make him an instant heart-stealer, and he’s been soaking up love from kids, other dogs, and even livestock since he arrived at just 4 weeks old.

He’s doing fantastic for his age with crate training and potty training, and he's just starting to learn about toys, baby pools, and exploring the world around him. He hasn’t had any leash experience yet, but he's gaining confidence every day.

Leo would do wonderfully in a home with another dog (especially one that’s calm and confident) to show him the ropes, but most of all he just wants someone who will help him continue to feel safe, secure, and loved.

As with all young puppies, structure, training, and clear boundaries are key to helping Leo grow into the best version of himself. He’s still learning not to jump up and to respect space — so families with little kids should be ready to advocate for both kids and pup during this learning stage.

? If you’re looking for a sweet, soulful little sidekick to share your heart and home, Leo may just be your perfect match. Apply today at www.thepittieprojectpnw.org/apply
