Leo has had a bit of change in his life lately, and now is looking for a home where he can have some stability. <br/><br/>Leo is about 18 lbs, and 6-7 years old. He is confident and friendly with dogs and people of all ages. We are unsure what he thinks of cats, but he did not pay them much attention at our adoption event. He loves a belly rub and did well meeting new people in a hectic, busy pet-store environment. He walks well on leash and seems a happy-go-lucky type.<br/><br/>He does let his owners know when he needs to go out, but is still working on curbing a tendency to mark. <br/><br/>He did have an incident where he nipped when another dog was competing for attention, so he may have some resource guarding behavior. Because of this one instance, we are suggesting a home with no young children. <br/><br/>WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.<br/><br/>If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.<br/><br/>ADOPTION FEE of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible.<br/><br/>We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know via email and we will try to accommodate. However, we cannot guarantee the animal will be at the event without an approved application.
