Leo's Story

Leo was surrendered to our organization when his guardian was no longer able to care for him. Leo is a purebred Miniature Poodle. He is interactive, loving, and well-mannered. He prefers the company of female humans. Leo is cautious around male figures and keeps his distance until he is sure they will not cause him harm. This can take time and effort. If he feels threatened by a male figure, he will growl. He is fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. He knows how to use a doggie door and walks well on a leash. We advise interested individuals to call us before completing the application.

YouCanMakeADifference, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

We ask our potential adopters to complete a Pre-adoption questionnaire located at www.adoptapet.com/youcanmakeadifferenceinc/adoption-application. Once we receive the completed application we proceed to call the potential adopter to answer any question they may have as well as to schedule a "meet and greet" in their household. On the day of the meeting, we bring the selected pet to the household. During the visit, we observe the yard as well as we observe the interaction between the pet and the potential adopter. If both the potential adopter and the animal are deemed to be a match we proceed to complete the adoption process. The adoption contract is discussed and signed and payment for adoption is collected. Adopter receives a copy of the adoption contract as well as veterinary record, Rabies and Microchip tags.
