Lenny's Story

Looking for a dog who's outgrown young dog chaos but is still ready for adventure? We know a guy. His name is Lenny

Lenny is approximately 8 years old and around 50 pounds, and he's proof that some dogs just get better with age.

When Lenny first arrived at the shelter, he wasn't feeling his best. Luckily, he was one of the fortunate pups who got to recover in a loving foster home—and now that he's healthy again, its safe to say he's stolen a few hearts.

Lenny is the best of both worlds.

Around the house, he's calm, easygoing, and incredibly well-mannered. He's fully housebroken, doesn't get into things he shouldn't, and will often tuck himself into his crate for a nap because he enjoys having his own cozy space. When its time to play, stuffed toys are his favorite.

Step outside, though, and you'll see another side of him. His adorable little tortilla ears flap in the breeze as he happily explores the world. He loves greeting new people, has done wonderfully with the kids he's met, enjoys walking through downtown, and is always up for a hike with his foster. He walks beautifully on leash, although squirrels and other small critters are definitely worth a second look in his opinion. If he spots one, hell pull to investigate, and that's something his foster is continuing to work on with him.

Lenny passed his dog evaluation at the shelter, so if you have another dog at home, wed be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet to see if they're a good match. Cats, however, aren't his thing. He currently lives with cats in foster care and enjoys chasing them a little too much, so were looking for a cat-free home.

If you're looking for a companion who's happy to relax by your side at home but is always ready to join you on your next walk, hike, or adventure, Lenny is waiting to meet you.

To learn more about Lenny or to schedule a meet-and-greet, please contact his foster at:
cbasfostervm@gmail.com
