LENA's Story

LENA is a 1 yr. old, petite, 42lb pit bull terrier. Lena spent the first year of her life in a crate, literally. That's no joke. Suffice it to say, she is very comfortable in a crate and will not need any crate training. Most of what Lena is learning to do is how to be a dog outside of her crate. Here is what her foster mom has to say.

"Since I have been in foster I have been learning the world is not so scary. I love to play fetch and cuddle with my foster mom. I am just as happy to frolic in the yard chasing balls all day as I am to curl up and watch a movie. Since I am still learning the world is a safe place I am looking for a home with a patient new guardian who will understand I sometimes need slow introductions to new people and new places. I would prefer a home with no young children, not because I would ever hurt them, but because they might be too much for me. I am in a foster home with other dogs and cats and can be tested with your dog or cat if an adopter is interested! Although the rescue requires resident cats be dog-savvy."

To learn more about Lena, please fill out the adoption application on our website or reach out to us via email.
