Lena's Story

Lena came to us through our humane agents in an abandonment/neglect case. This sweet mama was left in a run down trailer with her 4 puppies and several other dogs. She has had quite a few litters, and is looking for a loving home to finally relax in. Lena was initally adopted and was in a home for about 5 months, and just recently was returned. It was said that she all of the sudden started using the bathroom in the house, despite having no issues at the shelter or in her adopted home previously. Now that she is back, we still have not seen any evidence of her having issues. So truthfully, we don't know why she was brought back.

Lena is about 4 years old, and has the biggest most beautiful head you have ever seen. Lena has had several meet and greets with men since coming to the shelter, and each time it has not gone well. We are looking for a home WITHOUT men for Lena. Ladies, don't let that deter you. Lena loves her people hard, and is total soul dog material. She cuddles as hard as she loves, and has plenty of energy to keep you busy, but enough chill to zonk out on the couch. She is protective of her people, so a low traffic home would be ideal. Lena would be happiest as an only dog, because she LOVES attention and doesn't like to share. Lena would not do well in a home with cats, and because of her size (and sometimes lack of manners), would do best in a home without children.

Lena has really had a rough life, and has been bounced around more than any dog deserves. She is ready for a committed forever person or family who will give her the happy life she deserves. She hopes to meet her people soon.
