Leilani's Story
**If interested, please do not send us a message through PetFinder. Instead, please go to our website to fill out an application: www.projectpawsdogrescue.com**

Meet Leilani! She is named after Leilani Munter, a professional stock car racing driver. She is named well as she is speedy. Leilani is a 6 year old husky mix and weighs about 44 pounds. She has been spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Leilani is very loving, smart and makes for a great companion.

Leilani is good on leash and loves to go on walks, especially in the cooler weather. She'll certainly get you moving and out of your chair! She came to us with some reactivity but has been receiving valuable training in her foster home and we've seen a fair bit of improvement in her. Her foster has noted that she's okay walking around other dogs that don't pay her any mind, but does not do well with friendly or reactive unknown dogs coming up to her. Her foster does not introduce her to other dogs on walks, but she is fine to talk to a person with a calm dog 6-12 feet away. With novel things, she can be intense at first, but after given the opportunity to investigate, she calms right down.

On the other hand, Leilani does very well with familiar dogs in the home. She is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs and gets along well with them. Once she's properly introduced and has acclimatized to her canine family, she is completely comfortable and at ease with them.

She seems to be good with people and a quiet, adult home would be best suited for her. She would be better in a home without cats or children as she tends to get agitated by high energy and excitement.

Leilani is quiet in the house, completely house trained, great in her crate and good in the car. She has been patiently waiting and is ready for her forever home.

If you're interested in adopting or learning more about Leilani, please submit an application!?
