Meet Leilani! <br/><br/>5 years <br/>50lbs <br/>Spayed female<br/><br/>Meet Leilani, a resilient, affectionate, and incredibly smart pup with a heart as bright as her name. Originally from Aurora Animal Care and Control, Leilani came to us with some rough skin, but with a little TLC she has truly blossomed and is thriving in her foster home. The shelter estimated her age around 5 years old, though we suspect she may be closer to 3 — young at heart and full of potential.<br/><br/>Leilani is fantastic in the house and already has an impressive list of skills. She knows how to sit, give paw, and lay down, rings a bell to go outside, and is becoming excellent on leash during walks. She also loves to play fetch and will happily return toys on command — seriously, the things this girl can learn may be limitless!<br/><br/>She enjoys playing with toys and running around the yard with other dogs and does best with slow, thoughtful introductions. Once comfortable, she’s happy to join in on the fun. Leilani would benefit from a home that understands the importance of decompression and giving her time to fully settle in and feel safe.<br/><br/>While she generally walks nicely on leash, she may get excited when spotting squirrels or bunnies. She’s also working on keeping all four paws on the floor when she gets excited — she just loves people that much! Leilani is very food motivated, adores her Kong Wobbler, and is eager to keep learning.<br/><br/>Despite her adventurous side, Leilani is also a total lapdog at heart. She loves hugs, attention, and being close to her people, happily soaking up affection whenever it’s offered. Morning kisses and cuddle sessions are absolutely included.<br/><br/>Leilani is looking for a patient, loving home ready to continue her training and help her feel secure. In return, she’ll give you unwavering affection, endless joy, and a loyal companion who truly wants nothing more than to be loved.<br/><br/>Interested in adopting?
