Leah's Story

Calling all ball players! Do you need help retrieving balls that you throw. You can practice your pitching all day or practice hitting tennis balls and I will be sure to clean up after you and will bring the ball back to you to practice a little more. Do you not have time to go for a walk? Even though I love walks, you can get me tired on a rainy day without putting on my leash. Not sure if I have given you a hint yet or not but I really love playing fetch!!!! I also enjoy a nice walk, a back scratch and any attention you are willing to give me. I’m a lover! I enjoy playing with other dogs, especially my buddy Peanut! I am very friendly to all. I may be 5 years old but I hear 5 is the new 1 year old. I will do great hiking , if you want to. I will also enjoy learning new things and sitting by your feet while you relax after work. I highly recommend you call or text 425-213-9723 so you can meet me and perhaps bring me home for a slumber party. I can’t tell you how many times I hear people talking about me and saying how sweet I am. Call quickly, I can’t say to meet you!

Canine Connections's Adoption Policy
Echo Glen Children's Center is a youth correctional facility located approximately 40 minutes east of Seattle. Canine Connections is a program that pairs the at-risk youth at Echo Glen with dogs that have not yet found successful placements. In this program the youth are taught how to train the dogs in basic obedience through a reward based system. At the end of their training each dog will take a basic canine obedience test which prospective families are encouraged to attend. Please note that our adoption fee is $300. Please E-mail canineconnectionsrescue@gmail.com or call/text 425-213-9723 for additional information and to schedule an opportunity to meet our awesome dogs. After a phone interview you are welcome to come out to meet the dog of your dreams and if it looks like a match made in heaven, you can take them home for a trial visit. After the visit, you can decide to adopt or not. They may need to return to Canine Connections to finish the training program. If you decide to adopt, you would have the option to take your dog home every weekend or leave him/her at the kennel until the training session is over. Thanks for considering a rescue dog! It's wonderful gift to yourself and your new best friend.
