Lea (156810) (In a foster home)'s Story

Lea is a loving, loyal little shadow who just wants to be as close to her people as possible. If you’re looking for a constant cuddle buddy, you’ve found her — she is truly the best snuggler and happiest when she’s in your personal space soaking up affection. Tell her she’s a good girl, and you’ll absolutely make her day.

She’s kennel trained and doing so much better with potty training as she continues to learn her routine. Lea already knows “sit” and “stay,” and she’s eager to please. She does have a bit of food insecurity, so she’ll do best with a family that understands the importance of consistent feeding routines and respectful boundaries around meals.

Lea loves her cat foster siblings and enjoys playing with the big dog in her foster home. Aside from occasional dominance-style bickering, they get along great. She sweetly respects the older dachshund in the home and gives her space — such a thoughtful girl! Based on her personality, she would likely thrive with a sibling around her size to play and bond with.

She has mostly outgrown her “chew everything” phase and prefers hard plastic toys. In fact, she has one special toy she adores and carries from room to room — it’s the cutest thing!

Lea isn’t a fan of loud noises like the vacuum, leaf blower, or drill, and feels safest kenneled during vacuum time. With reassurance and patience, she settles well.

She has only met one child so far and absolutely loved him. Above all, Lea is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and devoted. She just wants love, reassurance, and a cozy place to snuggle. If you’re ready for a clingy, cuddly best friend who will adore you endlessly, Lea is your girl.

Lea is currently in foster care outside of the shelter.
