Layla came to us as an owner surrender, and since arriving, staff have taken the time to properly assess her behavior and personality. She has shown herself to be comfortable with people, easy to handle, and responsive during interactions. Layla now goes out in a play group of around 30 dogs, where she enjoys running and playing but also does well simply coexisting with them. She is learning how to walk on a leash and has made great progress compared to when she first arrived. Layla has also spent time around people with children and has done well with them. She is an active girl who enjoys being out and about and would likely thrive in a home where she can get regular exercise and engagement. With consistency and continued positive experiences, she will only keep improving. She is a strong girl who will benefit from continued structure and guidance, and she deserves the opportunity to be known for who she truly is.
