Meet Layla! Layla is a beautiful 49-pound Boxer mix with a playful personality and plenty of energy to share. She loves staying active and would thrive with a family that enjoys adventures, walks, and playtime. Layla enjoys having dog friends and tends to do best with compatible canine companions who match her play style and personality. She would be happiest in a home where she can be the only feline focus, as cats aren't really her thing. Layla is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm and will continue receiving care until she is heartworm-negative, but she remains happy, active, and full of life. With her fun-loving spirit, affectionate nature, and loyal heart, Layla is ready to find a family that will love her for the amazing dog she is.

Foothills Humane Society's Adoption Policy
Interested in adopting? We want to make it easy and fun to bring home a new best friend! When you choose an animal you’d like to make part of your family, please fill out an adoption application online at www.foothillshumanesociety.org/adopt Once you do this, our friendly adoption coordinator will spend time reviewing your application to ensure the pet you’ve chosen will be a great fit with your home and lifestyle. Then, we will contact you to schedule an appointment to come meet the animal. Your new pet’s adoption fee will be based primarily on age and species. Our adoption fees are also much less than those at other shelters, even though they are fully vetted, trained and ready to go home. Our adoptions fees are as follows: Dogs age 6 months and older are $80 Puppies under 6 months are $250-$450 Cats age 6 months and older are $30 Kittens under 6 months are $50 (second one FREE) We often hold special promotions when these fees are lowered, waived or adopters ‘name their own fee’ for adoptions. Your adoption fee covers the cost of spay/neuter surgery, testing, vaccinations, and microchipping. Your new pet has received all the love, attention, medications, and veterinary care they need to join their new family!
