Layla's Story
Sweet Layla landed in the Oklahoma City animal shelter after her owner was arrested and taken to jail. Not family members showed up to claim her so we were able to pull her (Thanks OKC shelter for helping us get her!).

Layla is a sweet, silly girl. She loves to run laps around the yard and it's a bonus if another dog or two will chase her. They can try to catch her, but she is FAST! She also loves to stay close to a favorite human. She will follow you all over the house and will settle by your side when you're ready.

She is smart and eager to learn, but has not had a lot of training. We are currently working on her house training and she's doing well. She does now use a dog door and she will crate.

Layla does well with other dogs of similar size when properly introduced. She was a bit nervous in her foster home at first, but is now doing great with the other dogs in the home. We do not recommend Layla for a home with cats or tiny dogs.

Layla would likely do great with older kids, but may be too active for small children.

She does love to go for walks and his behaving well on leash. She was also very good for her vet visit. We love this girl and want to find her perfect new forever home.

Placements in the area of NE Oklahoma or adjoining states preferred. Long distance placements will be considered with exceptional references. Transportation is the responsibility of the adopter. We will not ship.

Adoption fee covers our expenses for spay, shots, heartworm and fecal tests, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, food, and any other expenses incurred. Fee is fair and non-negotiable.

If you are interested in adopting Layla you must complete our online adoption application. Link in "about us" section.
