Meet Layla <br/><br/>Layla is a soft-hearted girl with old-soul energy and the manners of a true lady. She responds to her name, walks gently on leash, and is wonderfully calm and intelligent. When her people leave, she may feel a little unsure at first-but give her a cozy crate and she settles right in. In fact, once she learned what the crate was for, she started going in willingly all on her own.<br/><br/>Layla is polite and respectful with other dogs. She may share some feelings when first meeting them, but there's no hard feelings-just communication! After that, she peacefully co-exists and is mostly indifferent to canine drama. She hasn't met cats yet while in our care, but her overall demeanor is gentle and thoughtful.<br/><br/>She's a quiet girl who prefers to observe the world from a comfy spot (usually taking up the entire couch). When Layla needs rest, she'll let you know with her signature low, brontosaurus-like grumbles before slipping into a deep snooze! Take her home and she'll often come check in with a look that feels a lot like gratitude.<br/><br/>Layla is housetrained, great in the car, and truly seems to understand how to live politely in a home. She's incredibly smart, deeply gentle, and just an all-around perfect lady.
