Layla's Story

Layla came into rescue, with soft body language. Her eyes were soft with open mouth. When she greets, she moves quickly towards the person. Her whole body will wiggle as she greets.

She loves to lay in the sun! She will need to be monitored outside to not eat any wood.
She knows her basic skills, sit, down, stay and leave it. She is being fostered by a certified dog behavior consultant and dog trainer. Is currently learning how to walk nicely on a leash.

She lived with two young girls ages 9 and 12 and they loved her very much. So much they made a card just for her. She plays with her brother Leo her friend she has been with since she was a puppy.

Layla does enjoy her very large bed with a cover on it. She is crate trained and I have observed her putting herself to bed on her favorite bed.

She will bark if she hears something outside. It's an alert bark.

I prefer she be adopted into a home that has a physical fence because underground fences don't keep other animals out.

She loves attention and to cuddle. It will take a little bit for her to get accustomed to a new home.

She wears a harness with a front and back D ring when out on walks or on car rides.

She is a wonderful dog to live with and she might be the dog for you.

As with all dogs she will need daily mind stimulation and enrichment. She has never been abused and has been with the same family since she was a puppy and they all loved her very much.

If you are interested in her, please contact the rescue for more information and application.

Wisconsin adoption only
