Layla's Story
Meet Layla!

Layla is a beautiful 3-year-old Terrier mix with an enthusiastic personality and plenty of love to give.

When Layla first arrived at the shelter, she was underweight and her skin was in rough shape. With proper care and nutrition, she has gained healthy weight and is feeling so much better. She still has a couple of spots where her hair is growing back, but her transformation is well underway—and her personality is definitely shining through.

Layla is an energetic girl who is always ready for the next adventure. She gets along well with other dogs, although her enthusiasm can sometimes be a little much for more laid-back canine friends. A dog who appreciates her energetic play style could make a great companion.

She absolutely loves children, enjoys car rides, knows "sit," and is kennel trained. She may already be house trained and, with a consistent routine, should adjust well to home life.

Layla is still working on her leash manners. Right now, she sometimes believes she’s responsible for taking you for the walk instead of the other way around! Continued training and consistency will help this smart girl learn what’s expected of her.

One important requirement for Layla’s future home is no cats. She finds them a little too interesting, so a feline-free home will be the safest fit.

Layla would thrive with an active family who can provide plenty of exercise, attention, structure, and opportunities to be part of the fun.

She has already come such a long way. Now Layla is ready for the best part of her transformation—a family and a forever home of her own.

Come meet Layla and see if this sweet, energetic girl is the adventure buddy you’ve been looking for.
