About Us: We're Save A Sato, an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to easing the suffering of Puerto Rico's homeless and abused animals. "Sato" is slang for street dog. We rescue Satos from the streets and beaches, give them medical care, food and shelter, and plenty of love. When they are healthy, we send them to one of our shelter partners for adoption into loving homes. Dogs listed here are available for adoption only in the USA, unfortunately we are not able to adopt directly to an individual on Puerto Rico, unless we investigate and approve what will be the dog livings condition . We work exclusively with reputable partner shelters in the Northeast to find homes for our dogs. Once the dog has been transferred to a partner shelter we remove the listing here. If you would like to inquire about a specific dog we would be happy to provide you with the partner shelter contact information when the dog is transferred in order for possible adoption direct from the partner shelter.
