Lavon's Story

Well to say this gorgeous crew went fast is an understatement. We have one of our adorable "Hart of Dixie" boys left! Lavon is as sweet as can be and those eyes will mesmerize the toughest of critics. He can be shy to start but once you make your way into his heart, all bets are off! We think he would do great with a fur sibling to show him the ropes but would also thrive as an only dog as long as his adopters are ready and willing to show him the world!

Lavon and his siblings were born outside to mom who was tied up to a fence. One of his littermates got their head stuck in the chain link fence which prompted animal control to step in and place them in a safer place. Lucky for you, we found a foster who helped raise this crew and because of their hard work and dedication- this sweet boy is ready to find his family!

Lavon has an adoption fee of $325.00. They will have all their vaccines, neutered, microchipped and on prevention. Lavon is a big boy; we think he will be 60-75 lbs full grown so interested parties should be ready for a very large lap dog! :)

Please note that we are a completely volunteer run organization. We do our best to respond to applications within 72 hours. We also can only setup meet and greets once an application has been filled out. SAFPAW Outreach and Rescue (SOAR)'s Adoption Policy
Our goal is to make this as easy as possibly, while also ensuring that we are placing our animals in homes that fit their needs/wants/lifestyle. We start by asking you to fill out an adoption application. Once that is done, an adoption counselor will be in contact with you to discuss your application and answer any potential questions. After you are approved for adoption for a particular animal, we do a 2 week foster to adopt process. We truly want to make sure that this next home, is the forever home for that animal; therefore we give you some time to really see if the fit is in fact a match! This also helps to alleviate any pressure on potential adopters in the event that it just isn't a great match.
