Lavender's Story

Lavender has had a rough go of it - adopted last year from another organization and left tied to a pole in Somerville after her owner unsuccessfully tried to rehome her on a free rehoming facebook group. Despite her rough past, Lavender is as sweet as can be and needs to go to a home that will treat her like the princess she is! She is currently fostered with a 2 year old pit mix and 2 cats and does great with all her foster siblings. She plays with the dog in the yard and looks to him for cues around the house; even the skittish 15 year old cat will come out and say hi to her. Lavender is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows "sit" and "look at me". She is estimated to be around 8 years old and needs daily allergy medicine for skin issues, but takes the pills very easily with a little food.

Lavender has recently been to some busy events and done great with all humans big and small -- she is great with grandparents and toddlers alike and loves to lick baby toes! Lavender is a little less tolerant with puppies, so while she would do great in a home with other animals, she would prefer her canine siblings be a little older. She loves playing and taking walks, but probably loves cuddling up with her human the most. This sweetheart needs a loving home where she will be cared for and spoiled for the rest of her life so she can leave all this moving around in her past!

Please know that the vast majority of our dogs/puppies are considered “MIXED”, most made of 6-9 various breeds.

MA Rescue License #0078

Please visit our website Sweet Paws Rescue if you would like more information about us.
