Laura's Story

Laura is ready for her fur-ever home! This 9 month old lab-mix has graduated from Puppy Obedience classes, is high energy and full of love. Laura currently lives with several other dogs (ranging from 13 years old to 7 months) and she gets along with all of them. She’s an explorer through and through and loves to spend time outside. She walks well on a leash, but would prefer a quiet street for her walks as strange noises and passing vehicles cause some anxiety. She has learned lots during her time in puppy school and is able to ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘circle’, ‘touch’ and ‘leave it’. With more practice, she would be great at ‘place’, ‘heel’, and ‘stay’. Laura would do well in an active home with another dog that enjoys running around the yard and the occasional wrestling match. Laura is still working on her potty training. She alerts when her foster parents are home and awake, but not at night all the time. She loves toys and her yak chews and they will occupy her when provided. The more durable toys, the better as she finds joy in pulling the cotton stuffing out. At the end of the day, Laura loves curling up with her foster mom on the couch for some shut eye. and she gets along with all of them. She has not been tested with cats, but her curiosity may be a bit much for them. Could you be her perfect paw-rents?
