What is your name?<br/>My name is Latte – My foster parents love food based names <br/><br/>How old are you?<br/>The vet thinks I am right around 3 years old<br/><br/>What do you look like? <br/>I am slender and have a light brindle coat. I have some white patches on my chest and my nose! My eyes are blue and very expressive. You can see the whites of my eyes when I am paying attention! <br/><br/>What do you like to eat?<br/>My foster parents give me this really yummy food. I don’t know what it is but they say it is healthy for me, so I like that. I also love to eat carrots and pretty much any vegetable or fruit that is safe food dogs <br/><br/>What kind of personality do you have?<br/>I have two modes. 100% and 0%. You can find me either running around the house and yard with all my energy, jumping over anything I can find, or laying on the couch catching some afternoon sleep. I am gentle and kind and want to spend all day cuddling my parents. I struggle a little with personal boundaries as I would prefer to be on a human lap at all times.<br/><br/>Describe your perfect day:<br/>I love to run around the backyard like it is my first time! I also love to play with my foster brother, chew on bones, play with tennis balls, and get lots of human attention. Ideally, my parents will pet me alllll day long. <br/><br/>What is your favorite toy?<br/>I love all toys. Currently I spend the majority of my time chewing on hard bones like Benebones. <br/><br/>Do you know any tricks?<br/>I know how to sit and stay. I have very good recall. My mom also calls me a spot stealer. If you are sitting on the couch and get up I will be in your spot by the time you come back.<br/><br/>What scares you?<br/>I am pretty chill and am not scared by anything.<br/><br/>Do you like cats?<br/>I haven't had much experience with cats, but my foster parents think I should avoid. I like to chase squirrels and rabbits in the backyard.<br/><br/>Do you have any doggie best friends?<br/>My foster brother, Chip! He is the main dog that I get to hang out with every day. He is showing me the ropes like how to chew on bones, walk down stairs, go potty outside, and to be lazy. Sometimes, we play in the basement for hours while mom and dad watch a movie. I love to play with Chip but I’m gentle when I do. He is a great foster brother. I can be selective with meeting other dog friends, so I might do best in a home without other pets.<br/><br/>If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be?<br/><br/>I want to be the center of attention to any humans in the room! As long as there is someone to love me and pet me and let me follow them around, I will be one happy puppy! <br/><br/>How is your health?<br/>I am in great health! My coat and weight are right where they need to be. <br/><br/>Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion? <br/>I share a home with my two human foster parents, David and Emma and my foster brother Chip and my human sister Delilah. <br/><br/>Where do you hang out when you are home alone?<br/><br/>When I am the only one in the house, my foster parents put me in my crate. I feel safe in my crate and don’t mind laying in there until someone comes home to play with me!<br/><br/>Where do you sleep?<br/>I spend my nights dreaming away in my crate. It helps me settle down and get a good night of sleep so I am ready to beat my foster brother in a game of fetch first thing in the morning. <br/><br/>What do you love about your foster family?<br/>I love that my foster family gives me lots of attention. I also love that they are showing me the ropes of how to live in a home and give me a safe comfortable place to be a dog!<br/><br/>What was life like before you were rescued by Even Chance and brought into the welcoming arms of your foster parents?<br/>Before being rescued, I was most likely an outside dog that was used for breeding. The vet thinks I have had either 2 or 3 litters of puppies. I was found by St. Louis County Animal control with a male that I was most likely bred with. I am so thankful that EC came and pulled me out of the shelter. Life in a home with Chip is so much more fun!<br/><br/><br/>Even Chance does not operate on a first come, first serve basis. In most cases we have already decided the type of home and owner we want for our dogs. These opinions are based on the temperament tests we perform prior to accepting the dog into our program and the behaviors the dogs display as they grow up. Our agency reserves the right to deny acceptance of any dog to an owner who we feel the lifestyle does not match that of the dog. We are in no way judging you or your lifestyle; we simply want to put our dogs in the best living situation possible. We take very seriously the decision we make when it comes to placing one of our dogs in a forever home.
