Lassie's Story

Lassie’s Journey – From Forgotten to Forever?

In May 2023, a young husky mix named Lassie sat behind cold concrete walls in a Texas kill shelter. He was only 2 years old—still full of life, still dreaming of love—but his time was running out. Day after day, he waited, his bright blue eyes searching for someone who would never come. He wasn’t sick. He wasn’t aggressive. He was simply unwanted. And in that shelter, “unwanted” means a death sentence.
We couldn’t let that happen. We pulled Lassie from that shelter and promised him a second chance—a chance to know what it feels like to be loved, to run free, to sleep in a warm home. But nearly two years later, Lassie is still waiting. Waiting for someone to see him. Waiting for someone to choose him. Waiting for someone to love him.
Lassie is absolutely stunning—his piercing blue eyes and cream-and-orange coat make him look like he stepped out of a dream. He’s chatty, playful, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’s healthy, heartworm negative, neutered, and up-to-date on all his shots. He’s ready for his forever family. But for reasons we can’t understand, no one has come for him.
Every day, we look into those eyes and wonder: How much longer will he have to wait? How many more nights will he sleep without a family to call his own? Lassie deserves more than a kennel. He deserves a home. He deserves love.
If you have room in your heart and home for this beautiful boy, please don’t let him wait any longer.

Lassie's story is one of survival, resilience, and the quiet strength that lives in the hearts of the forgotten. He is waiting—not just for a home, but for someone to see him for the treasure he truly is.

http://hoardinhuskies.net/dog-adoption/

Now 5 years old.
hw status - getting rechecked.

Adoption fee $150 which includes transport to the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest.
