Larry's Story

This is Larry! Larry & Kiki are the sweetest and most iconic mother and son duo that exists outside of Anderson Cooper and Gloria Vanderbilt.

This delightfully eccentric pair of senior chihuahuas live for snuggles, snoozing, and snacks. Their story is a sad one - they were recently surrendered by their loving lifelong guardian when he became homeless, and to his great relief we took the duo so he could focus on getting back on his feet.

Both dogs arrived in rough shape. Kiki needed surgery on her back feet so she could walk, and Larry had severe dental disease (and breath that could only be described as "crypt-like"). The dogs have now recovered from their medical procedures, and have adjusted very well to life in their Foster Mom's house, where they also live with a cat and a large dog.
Larry, who looks just like a handsome little Fox, arrived at his Foster Mom's with a lot of stress and anxiety when new people tried to touch him, but he has since become the snuggliest dog! In fact, so snuggly and adorable that you'll be tempted to carry him around like a purse. Once he trusts you, he just wants pets and to be wherever you are.

Kiki, or Dobbie the House Elf, is the happiest girl who loves food and to snuggle up next to you. Did we mention she loves food? She can hear you open a string cheese from across a highway, and then you've never seen an old gal move so quickly. Both dogs are pad-trained and love little walks. They are perfectly comfortable and pleasant with both dogs and cats (Larry especially likes to say hi to dogs on walks), but their absolute favorite is a loving person. They are happiest sitting next to you on the sofa, or sleeping at your feet. You can tell these dogs were loved by their previous guardian, and they will absolutely adore their new one.

Let us know if you want to add this mother-son pair to your family! Their adoption fee will be discounted in order to keep these bonded family members together. Hello@TheGLDR.org
