Larry's Story

Looking for a roommate who respects your personal space and doesn't want to talk about their feelings? Meet Larry! This 6-to-7-year-old, 10-to-12-lb Chihuahua mix has the build of a "Mega-Chihuahua"—he's officially larger than your average purse pup, but definitely smaller than a human toddler.
Larry had a tough start in life coming from a hoarding situation, but his luck changed when he was adopted by a loving owner who cherished him deeply. Sadly, his owner passed away about a year ago, and Larry is still searching for the perfect, understanding place to finally land.
The Larry Manifesto:
Personal Space Enthusiast: Larry is NOT a lap dog. He does not want to cuddle, he does not want to sit next to you, and he firmly believes in social distancing. Unless... you have food. Yes, Larry is highly corruptible and his affection can absolutely be bought with high-value treats.
100% Doggie Door Certified: This man is a literal saint when it comes to bathroom manners. Thanks to a doggie door, he is completely house-trained. You will never, ever, and we mean EVER, have to worry about him marking your furniture. Give this guy a gold medal!
Dog Friendly (With Caveats): He actually does great with most other dogs! He just needs a slow, proper introduction. Think of it as a casual business meeting, not a surprise party.
Anti-Leash Activist: Larry does not do leashes. Period. Walking on a cord is a hard "no" for him. Because of this, his ideal home must have a secure yard with a doggie door so he can handle his business on his own terms.
Underneath that fiercely independent, slightly eccentric exterior, Larry really is a lovable guy. He just needs an understanding, dog-savvy human who will respect his boundaries and help him build confidence at his own pace.
Ready to adopt a treat-motivated roommate who won't hog the couch? Apply for Larry today!
