Lark- URGENT's Story
URGENT ADOPTION NEEDED — Meet Lark!

Lark is a 6-month-old Labrador mix with the sweetest heart and the brightest future — he just needs a family to share it with.

Recently, we discovered that Lark has a healing fracture in his right hind leg. Douglas Animal Welfare Group has officially approved and covered the cost of his surgery, and he is scheduled for Monday, December 1st.

Here’s the urgent part:
The shelter is not an ideal place for him to recover from such a major surgery. Lark needs a quiet, loving home where he can heal safely and comfortably.
Despite everything he’s been through, Lark is the biggest lovebug — playful, affectionate, and happiest when he’s with his people. He came to us as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past, but we do know his future will be amazing with the right family.

Lark is looking for a forever home.

If you can open your heart and home to help him heal, please reach out. You’ll be giving a wonderful dog the chance he deserves.
Please share to help Lark find his home!

By the way, Lark is neutered, microchipped, and current on all shots -- all ready for a new home.

For more information, please call Douglas County Animal Services (DCAS) at 775-782-9061 or Douglas Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) at 775-267-7325. Or come meet me at the Douglas County Animal Shelter (please call first to make sure I'm still at the shelter). Click on Douglas Animal Welfare Group below for the address and directions.

ALSO A "MEET AND GREET" WILL BE REQUIRED IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER DOGS IN THE HOUSEHOLD.

ONE LAST THING! If you rent, you will be required to provide written approval from your landlord that you can have a dog. It needs to be specific, i.e. all dogs okay, no big dogs, specific breeds restricted, etc.
