Laramie's Story
“My Experience Fostering Laramie:

I had the pleasure of spending two weeks with Laramie, and he really is a special guy.

One of the first things I noticed about him was how quickly he settled in. His tail was wagging on the very first day, and within a week he was happily greeting dogs and people at the park. Watching him gain confidence and simply enjoy being a dog was incredibly rewarding.

The best way I can describe Laramie is that there are no surprises with him. What you see is exactly what you get: a gentle, funny, easygoing little guy who just wants to love and be loved.

One of my favorite things about Laramie is that he's happy doing whatever you're doing. Want to go for a car ride, a walk, the dog beach, or an adventure? He's all in. Need to spend the day working from home? He's perfectly content to quietly hang out nearby. He has a wonderful ability to match your energy.

And when he does get excited, it's impossible not to smile. Seeing him get the zoomies or run across the beach with a huge grin on his face is one of those simple moments that just makes your day better.

Laramie has a really sweet balance of affection and independence. He loves being near his person, but isn't demanding. If you're busy, he seems to understand and happily entertains himself. If you're in the mood for company, all you have to do is call his name once and he's right by your side.

He's also an incredibly smart dog. He learns routines quickly, already knows many of the basics, and seems very in tune with people. I often felt like we were communicating without needing many words. His house manners are excellent, and I was always impressed by how easy he was to have in my home.

One thing that really stood out to me was his recall. I took him to the dog beach and dog park, and even if he wandered off to sniff and explore, the second I called his name he would come running back with the biggest smile on his face—usually so fast that I'd wonder if he was about to crash into me, but somehow he never did.

Laramie is also wonderfully quiet. In the two weeks I had him, I heard him bark exactly once—and it was at some mysterious object on the beach that apparently only he found suspicious. If you appreciate a peaceful home, you'll appreciate Laramie.

His little quirks are what make him unforgettable. He absolutely loves head and chin scratches and will close his eyes and completely melt into them. He got excited when I came home but settled down almost immediately with a few pets. I was completely comfortable leaving him home alone without a crate, and he always handled it like a gentleman.

If you're looking for a dog who is loyal, loving, adaptable, and easy to integrate into your life, Laramie is truly a wonderful companion. He doesn't ask for much beyond the basics and your love, and he gives that love back unconditionally.

I am honestly surprised someone hasn't scooped him up already. Whoever adopts Laramie is going to be incredibly lucky. He is the kind of dog who quietly works his way into your heart, and I have no doubt that he is going to make an amazing addition to one very fortunate person/family. “
