Meet LANNON $400

"Hello Everbody! My name is Lannon. I am a 7-month-old Shi Tzu mix. I weigh 17 pounds. I moved to Wisconsin when I was one day old with my mom, brother, and sister. I went straight into my foster home, immediately becoming spoiled and loved! I was the largest puppy in the litter and grew very quickly. When it was time for us to start walking my foster mom noticed that I did things “differently”. At first, she thought maybe it was because I was such a big boy, but when I didn’t show signs of improvement she took me to the vet to have things checked out. It was suggested that I might have swimmer syndrome. My mom started to tape my legs and did physical and massage therapy with me every day. My sister had some of the same problems, but she figured things out way before I did. Little by little, day by day I started to get stronger and after about a month I started to walk unassisted. Soon my mom and siblings were adopted, but we decided it would be best for me to stay put for a while gaining strength and walking skills.
I was introduced to the rest of the pack that lives in my home. My foster family has a Pit Bull, American Bulldog, Great Dane, and Corgi. I had to learn very quickly how to move and keep up with them. My mom says I don’t even know I have special needs! I TEAR around the house chasing all the dogs, just having a good old time. We go outside and run around the backyard together too. It is so much fun! My mom, being the worry wart she is took me back to the doctor 2 more times to have me checked out. They did x-rays and found I had some genetic abnormalities that caused my hips and knees to grow differently. The specialist said there is a surgery they could do, but the results are not guaranteed. She was impressed with how well I got around. She said all the running and playing that I do has helped me get stronger and learn how to compensate for my irregular growth. I would like my forever family to give me the same opportunities to be active and keep moving so my muscles stay strong. I am a very good boy. I sleep all night in my crate and go in and out without any problems. I go potty outside with the other dogs but don’t know how to ask yet, so I have to be kept on a regular schedule. I know my name really well and will come running when you call. I still need to work on my leash skills. I am a good watchdog and will bark to let you know someone is approaching. I am a great pup and my grandpa says whoever gets me is going to be one lucky family! It’s time for me to find my forever home. Could it be with you?

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- www.luckymuttsrescue.org and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in Milwaukee. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$400+tax for puppies to 3 years old
