Lala's Story

Oohh La La she’s a pretty girl! Lala is a Cattle Dog (Heeler) mix with an approximate DOB of 5.31.24. We have learned:

• Lala is friendly with people.
• She has gone to adoption events off-site and seems to love meeting children. Once she is settled, Lala curls up sweetly with a volunteer.
• Her leash-walking skills are improving.
• Lala is housebroken and uses the doggy door. To be fair, shelter dogs must wait a long time between shifts. With a regular routine/potty schedule, we know that Lala will catch on quickly in her forever home.
• She has a high prey drive and requires a home without small animals. Her best friend at the shelter is Chance. She can be dog selective, so introductions are required with other dogs living in or visiting her forever home.
• She requires regular physical and mental activities to become her best Lala self.
• She loves to play with the hose and splash in the pool!
• She is beautiful!

Heelers are known for their intelligence, loyalty, their high energy, and herding skills. We will share specific updates as we learn more about Lala. In the meantime, if you know and love Heelers, please consider giving Lala the time and patience she needs to blossom. Please complete the application and a volunteer will respond ASAP.

https://www.parkvilleshelter.com/adoption-application

FOPAS is primarily run by volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare and are dedicated to our animals for their entire lives.
