Lake's Story

Hi everyone. My name is Lake and I am a young, three-year-old tall drink of Doodle water! I was picked up by the dog police for vagrancy – and no one came to claim me. Their loss…your gain! I am a sweet, goofy guy with great energy. Sometimes my exuberance gets the best of me, so I need sturdy people who don’t knock down easily while we work on that stuff they call “training!” I absolutely love my stuffy toys…and I’m man enough to admit it! You can keep your balls…just throw my stuffy for me and watch me run! I can’t tell you about my house manners, but I do keep a clean room here. I love to go on walks and am fine walking by nice dogs – but I don’t like those dogs that bark at me or give me stink eye. In those situations, you need to be able to redirect me and help me gather my wits! I’m a social dude when it comes to people…I LOVE being around them. The dogs here tell me about homes where people love and care about you. One of those sounds really good to me. I prefer to share it with humans – not other dogs. And I’m not a dog park kind of dog because I don’t read dog language very well at this point. I’m also pretty sure that cats won’t find me fun. But sturdy kids will think I’m a cool dude! Maybe even epic! Do you have room in your heart and home for a guy like me? I'm a happy, fun-loving boy looking for people to share my life with. I very much appreciate everything the nice people here have done for me, but I’m ready to roll!
