She is doing excellently in foster care, where she is opening up more and more each day and experiencing the joys of life. Lainey's foster mom tells us that after just a brief minute to warm up (and know she is safe), Lainey is in full snuggle mode. She is a sweet, happy girl who loves to be with her people, as well as play with other dogs, and is fostered with cats too! She is doing fabulously with her foster siblings, loves her play time with them, but also revels in having cuddle time with her humans. We feel Lainey would benefit from having another canine sibling in the household, though we will make that determination on a case-by-case basis (i.e., in light of the particulars of the adoptive home). Lainey is also crate trained and almost potty trained. And, so, she is ready for a forever family of her very own. As is true for any pup, of course, Lainey will benefit from continued exposure to new experiences in a safe, loving environment. And, like any pup, she will benefit from continued training with her new family members -- both to bond deeply with them and to reach her full potential in becoming a well-adjusted adult canine citizen.Best guess is that Lainey is a Lab/Shepherd mix, currently around 40lbs - we expect (no guarantee) that she will stay in the medium size adult dog range.
