Laila's Story

Meet Laila! This sweet pup was found in Todos Santos, Mexico in early 2025. We estimate this sweet girl was born in August 2024, making her a little over a year old now! Laila weighs around 30 pounds, and we do not expect her to get any bigger as most Baja pups are on the medium smaller size even when full grown.

Laila was living at a foster home when she was first found and did great with her foster families pets and children. She loves playing with all the dogs at the shelter and sun bathing every chance she gets. Laila was just 5 months old when we found her alone on the beach, but despite her hard start in life this sweet girl has always been outgoing and loving to everyone she meets. We think Laila would do good in any home in the PNW, and though she will need some help learning potty training skills this sweet gal has so much love to offer you will just melt into her eyes when you meet her. Laila is ready to go to a forever home, or even a foster home, we just need a dedicated loving home for this sweet girl to be able to travel from the shelter to the PNW to.

All of Saving Baja Paws dogs come with a fantastic flexible foster-to-adopt option. This is a unique opportunity that allows your family to make sure it a perfect match with your new pup.

Laila is currently located in La Paz, Mexico at our shelter and is hanging out in the sun and with their doggie friends all day long. Laila is ready to venture to the PNW if they have a dedicated foster or an adopter. Once a pup is picked for a new family they can normally arrive to the PNW within 15 days.

Laila's adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $450USD. This helps us cover most of her vet and care costs incurred in Mexico, and the transport fee to bring our pups over 1,500 miles to the PNW. All our dogs come spay or neutered, with all theirs shots for the year, and have had multiple blood tests done prior to entering the USA from Mexico.

All our pups come fully up to date on shots, are tested for heartworm and other diseases, microchipped, fecal tested, current on flea medications, and also come spayed / neutered.

Please Apply >> savingbajapaws.org/application
