Laika

Laika is a sweet senior girl who is looking for a soft place to land and a loving home to spend her golden years. She has a gentle spirit and would love a calm environment where she can relax and enjoy the simple things in life—like a comfy bed, kind people, and plenty of love.<br/>Right now, Laika seems to be having a bit of trouble with one of her back legs, so she has an appointment scheduled on 3/19 to have her hind end X-rayed so we can learn more about what’s going on and how best to help her feel comfortable.<br/><br/>**The vet believes that she was hit by a car at some point in her life and the joint that connects her hip to one of her back legs has been destroyed. She likes short walks and she is on pain meds currently but that doesn't stop her! <br/><br/>Despite that, Laika is still the lovely, sweet girl she’s always been. She just needs someone willing to give a senior dog the patience, care, and love she deserves. If you have room in your heart for a gentle older companion, Laika would be so grateful to call you her family.
