Meet Ladybug, Your New Adventure Buddy!

Looking for a playful, loving companion to join you on life’s adventures? An active person or family who can keep up with her zest for life — and bonus points if there’s another playful pup in the mix!
Ladybug is ready to bring joy, laughter, and a wagging tail into your life. Could she be the one for you?

Ladybug's Backstory:

When we first encountered Ladybug, it was immediately apparent that she was not accustomed to life on the streets and had likely been abandoned recently. For several days, we saw her anxiously running up and down the street, desperately searching for shelter or the people who had left her behind. On multiple occasions, we witnessed her narrowly avoid being hit by cars.

At the time, we were already at maximum capacity, and we struggled to figure out where she could go. However, one evening while out for a walk, we found her in an even more distressing situation. She was being harassed by a group of six male dogs who were relentlessly pursuing her, preventing her from finding food or refuge. We watched as she desperately climbed gravel hills to escape them. It was heartbreaking to see her in such distress.

Moved by compassion, we brought her into the garage for safety until we could arrange for her to be spayed. Afterward, Ladybug became incredibly attached to her safe space, refusing to leave the garage. It became clear that we couldn’t send her back, and we officially welcomed her into our care. Ladybug is a deeply loyal and affectionate companion, and deserves to have her own person that she can bond with.

About us

We adopt our dogs to loving homes locally in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, as well as in Canada and the United States. Once adopted, the dog is flown to their new home (nearest airport) with the help of a volunteer flight angel.

Please note that the adoption fee covers the dog's travel expenses, including flight costs, health certificates, flea and tick treatment, and kennel fees.

Our Home Rescue

We are an independent rescue operating out of our home in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. We do what we can to help control the overpopulation of dogs and cats in our community. In addition to rescuing animals, when we're at full capacity, we also carry out trap-neuter/spay-release efforts. Most of our work is funded out of pocket, so any donations are incredibly helpful and deeply appreciated.

Adoption Application link is below:
https://form.jotform.com/252298225088868

If you have any questions please contact us through our facebook page, link below:
https://www.facebook.com/people/Ourhomerescue/61557356133650/

Thank you for considering adopting a rescue dog!

Our Home Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
We chat initially via messenger, whatsapp or text, they complete the application process, then we move to a facetime visit. IF the potential adopter is local, we arrange a meet and greet and we involve any children or potential fur siblings in a neutral environment to see how it goes. We always ask the potential adopter to take some time to go home and think about it, to be sure that this is what they really want and to confirm they are wiling to go the extra mile to seek the animal out by providing follow up after having time to deliberate the pro's and con's once they are aware. Then if it's a good fit, we look at the home environment and provide any tips or helpful insight to be sure the new home is safe and secure for them as they take time to adapt. We then consistenly follow up, often the adopters do this on their own. We also make sure the adopters know, if for any reason the circumstances change for the animal we will take them back and work with them once again.
