Lady Jane's Story

Hello! My name is Lady Jane, your new, favorite big headed Mixed Bully Breed Best Friend (MBBF)! I have been hearing rumors that I am about 4-5 years old, that I recently had puppies and that I am homeless. Well, I guess it was a fun night on Broadway cause I don't remember any of that. But I do know is that some nice people found me and helped to get me to safety and now I am on my healing journey!

My favorite things include chasing footballs (which with football kicking off this week is the most perfect timing), eating snacks- leftover steak might be my favorite, snuggling on the couch with "fo-mom while she has coffee and generally being close enough to lick my human's face. I enjoy a good game of fetch, and once I get to trust you more I will begin to leave the toy on the ground so you feel comfortable enough to pick it up and throw it again without me giving you side eye. By the way, did I tell you about my side eye? It is probably 10/10. While we are at it...I don't like to brag, but I am VERY good at walking on leash, going to the bathroom while leashed and I am comfortable sleeping and staying in a crate. I have a lot of pride in the presentation of my crate, so I will not go to the bathroom in there and am able to hold it until I make it outside.

Some of my least favorite things include grass (which I have been told I have an allergy to, but I am taking allergy meds to help with that), having my feet sprayed with medicine (it's not as much the medicine as it is the sound), taking baths with a hose (unless I am allowed to eat the hose, then I am a bit more indifferent).

I am very excited to find my foster or forever home and be able to set up shop with a football, my person, and a comfy spot to lay down. My perfect foster/forever home is one that does not have any other pets (I have heard this is a non-negotiable- but hey...more lovin' for me, right?!?), has a human that is patient, excited and willing to work with me, and, most importantly, someone that is able to see that I am just a girl looking for her person to complete her journey in this rollercoaster called life! Could that be you?

If you are interested in fostering or adoption please apply and email jen@soarnash.org

SAFPAW Outreach and Rescue (SOAR)'s Adoption Policy
Our goal is to make this as easy as possibly, while also ensuring that we are placing our animals in homes that fit their needs/wants/lifestyle. We start by asking you to fill out an adoption application. Once that is done, an adoption counselor will be in contact with you to discuss your application and answer any potential questions. After you are approved for adoption for a particular animal, we do a 2 week foster to adopt process. We truly want to make sure that this next home, is the forever home for that animal; therefore we give you some time to really see if the fit is in fact a match! This also helps to alleviate any pressure on potential adopters in the event that it just isn't a great match.
