Lady has had quite the adventure since she’s been in the rescue… her first day included a trip to the vet that ended up with her getting a very LARGE kidney stone taken out. Lady is a little shy at first, but really is just a lover girl. She’s most shy around other dogs, but foster parents say she’s snuggling with the other Dachshunds in the house just fine now - just took a couple of days. Important to note, they haven’t heard her bark not ONCE. Lady loves to cuddle, so if crate training is common in your home, know she will protest. She’s is mostly potty trained however after surgery + the post op meds she will occasionally tinkle a bit, but foster parents think that will go away once she is all healed! If you are interested in adopting one (or more!) of our Rescues, please fill out an adoption application at: https://therescuedrescuers.org/ Please note that we require all animals within the home to be current on annual vetting services. This information will be verified by your vet. If your pet(s) are not up to date on their annual shots, please make an appointment with your vet and take care of this prior to submitting an application. We will not approve any application until all vetting on current pets within the home is completed. After a vet check has been approved, a home visit will be scheduled with the pup(s) so that the new pup(s) can be introduced to the new family and environment.
