Hi, I'm Ladybird! I'm an energetic, affectionate, and delightfully clumsy girl with a personality all my own! When I'm happy, I "chirp" like a bird, and I love making my famous grass salads. I'm dog-friendly and enjoy both playing and lounging with my canine friends. I'd do best in a home with adults or older kids-no toddlers, please!<br/><br/>I'm a total foodie who knows "sit," loves treats, and have no food aggression. I also love zoomies, hallway fetch, and getting my energy out before snuggling up for bedtime. I'm housebroken and crate-trained, too! I can be a little shy around men at first, but I warm up quickly, especially for belly rubs. Jessamine County Animal Care & Control's Adoption Policy
Stop by the shelter or an adoption event to fill out the adoption application. We also have the application online: https://www.adoptapet.com/jcacc  After your references are checked (and landlord for renters), you will be notified.  We can usually get this all done in one day (except Saturdays and Tuesdays).  After your application is approved, your new family member will be spayed/neutered, receive any remaining shots (including rabies), be microchipped, and get a fecal before you take him/her home.
