Introducing Lady!<br/><br/>This beautiful Rough Coated Collie girl is approximately 3.5 years old and weighs 50 pounds. She was surrendered to our rescue after her senior owner passed. She will be spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines prior to adoption. She is heartworm negative. We require a securely fenced yard and prefer a collie/herder breed experienced adopter for Lady. She is definitely not a couch potato, but definitely not full-speed all the time. A nice companion for outdoor activities for an active-ish family.<br/><br/>What we know about Lady so far:<br/><br/>-Super social and friendly with people. Will likely let a burglar come straight into your home as long as he gives pets. <br/>-Loves men. Her owner was an older man and she loved him. Her entire world revolved around him. She has decided she does love her foster mom, though, and will climb up in bed in the morning for snuggles. <br/>-Was tolerant of one cat in her life before, but really got excited and wanted to play/chase. Cats are a big maybe.<br/>-House trained and crate trained. Not destructive of your furniture. Not a counter surfer.<br/>-She’s a “talker”. If you know this breed, you know what we mean. Expect to be talked to. <br/>-Dog social. Would do fine with a low-key, not pushy dog in the home. She’s currently fostered with 4 other dogs ranging in age and size. <br/>-A small amount of toy possessive nature if she’s gotten really into a particular toy and another dog wants it back. Minor snapping. Easily corrected. (We don’t think she’s had many toys before).<br/>-NO STUFFED TOYS. She will rip apart and eat the stuffing. Ask us how we know. <br/>-Loves to be brushed. <br/>-Enjoys a good game of tennis ball fetch.<br/>-She is a natural frisbee disc dog! She is fast and can catch one on the run. Would be a great fitness buddy!<br/>-Loves to sit with you on the couch. <br/>-Unsure about children. We were told she had been around some nieces/nephews previously but we haven’t seen her personally around children. <br/>-Knows Sit, Shake, Down, and Stay. We have started working on walking nice on a leash because she does pull quite hard. <br/>-She rides well in a car. She is currently a little anxious going into new places (she was a homebody) but after she’s visited a place once then returns, she is calmer. Slowly introducing her to new places is key. <br/>-She is what I would call semi-velcro. She can settle in a kennel away from you if needed quietly. But she prefers to be where she can see you. Doesn't necessarily need to be right next to you. You can walk outside without her kicking up a fuss.<br/><br/>Guys, this little girl is quite basically as close as you’ll get to a perfect dog. She has her small quirks, but if you love and know this breed she will be a fantastic addition. We are starting to accept applications now for her and we will be picky! We want her new home to be THE ONE and won’t settle for less. <br/><br/>Interested adopters should email us at pawsofvalor.ar@gmail.com for an adoption application. She is fostered in CLEVELAND, TN (near Chattanooga, TN). We require adopter to live within 1-2 hours of our location because we DO REQUIRE home visit and meet/greets.
