Lady

Meet Lady, a beautiful buff-colored English Cocker Spaniel who is estimated to be about 5 years old.

Lady recently came into rescue after being found as a stray. She was matted and covered in fleas when she was found, and despite efforts to locate her family, no one came forward to claim her. She is now safe, receiving the care she needs, and ready to start a new chapter.

Lady is a sweet girl who enjoys being around both people and other dogs. She has a friendly personality and is happy to have some companionship and attention. She is still getting settled and learning that she is finally in a safe place, but she has already shown us what a lovely girl she is.

One thing we know about Lady is that she is a strong leash puller! Her new family will need to be willing to work with her on leash manners and give her some training. With patience and consistency, we expect she will improve as she learns what is expected of her.

Lady has been through a lot of change, and now she deserves the very best—a loving home where she can feel secure, be part of the family, and finally know what it’s like to be someone’s forever dog.

Lady is also looking for a sponsor to help support her ongoing care while she waits for her forever family. Sponsorships make a huge difference and allow us to continue helping dogs. If you would like to sponsor Lady, or any of our foster dogs via a small monthly donation, please reach out to fcsrsponsor@yahoo.com.

If you are interested in adopting Lady, please fill out an application at https://www.floridacocker.org/adoptions. Potential adopters must have a verifiable veterinary history and be willing to travel to the Tampa area for adoption if approved. Due to previous experiences, we do not adopt outside of Florida.

ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED. This post will be removed once Lady is placed. Please share this post!
