Lacey 's Story
Lacey recently joined Serendipity after she was rescued from a life of living outdoors without shelter and on a heavy chain. Her previous owner died earlier this year, where she had been an indoor dog, living with other dogs, cats, and young children in the house. Lacey ended up with a relative where she reportedly often went without food or water.

Lacey may be a little reserved when first meeting people but warms quickly. She is quick to identify new human friends and has been fast to bond with SGSDR volunteers. Lacey is a sweet girl who appreciates attention and being petted. She has adapted well to the recent changes in her environment from being an outdoor dog to back to being an indoor, housebroken dog.

On walks in the park, Lacey is great on the leash and not fazed by squirrels and other small critters that she may encounter. Lacey rides well in a vehicle, content to lay down and enjoy her ride. She is great on a leash and was wonderful for the vet.

Lacey is currently attending doggie daycare making new canine friends of all sizes. She reportedly lived with cats, but we haven’t been able to cat test her. We were told she lived with kids, but we do not know their age range.

Lacey is a totally chill dog. She is content to just be with her people. Lacey doesn’t demand attention and isn’t an “in your face” dog. She is 6 ½ years old, and her behavior reflects her maturity. If you want a quiet, steady companion, Lacey is your girl!

At just under 60 pounds, Lacey is a bit smaller than most GSDs. She is fully vaccinated, chipped, spayed, and ready for her forever home.

-------------------
Our Adoption Fees:
-------------------

*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $450

* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $400

* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program!
