Lacey's Story

Last summer, our rescue received a call from a vet's office who had a very sick, bleeding, beat up dog that was clearly used as a bate dog. A very nice couple had seen her wandering in their neighborhood and took her right to the emergency vet. Her wounds were so severe and the vet didn't think she was going to make it. We asked them not to give up and to do whatever they needed to do to give his girl a chance in life.

Well, take a look at beautiful girl Lacey now! After many days of wound care, medication and tons of love, this very sweet girl made it! Lacey is ready for her forever home now - a home and a family that will love her so she never has to think about where she came from.

Even after all she has been through, Lacey is the sweetest girl! She's on the smaller size - just under 40 pounds and is approximately 2.5 years old. She has many scars on her but that makes her all the more beautiful to us! She absolutely loves to cuddle and is so happy just being around her loving foster now. Understandable, she is scared of other dogs so Lacey will do best in a home where she's the only pup and gets all the attention she deserves.

If you would like to hear more about this beautiful girl, please be sure to include your phone number when you inquire so we can tell you more about her and plan a time for you to meet her. Inquiries in the Tampa Bay area please.

No Dog Forgotten's Adoption Policy
We begin by asking any potential adopter a series of generalized questions. If they have a specific individual already in mind, we may include questions related to that individual. If we feel they are an appropriate home, we will contact them via phone to discuss which animals may be the right fit for their family (or discuss the specific individual). Great care is taken to discuss any on-going medical or behavioral support that may be needed in the home. If the potential adopter and our rescue feel it is a good fit, we conduct meet and greets between all family members and any other dogs in the home. If these meet and greets go well, we will screen the household in person as a final step during the in-home drop off meet and greet session. For dogs who will need continued medical or behavioral support, the vet or trainer may be included in one or more of these interactions to establish a relationship. Certain guidelines may also be included in the adoption forms.
