Lacey's Story

Meet Lacey!

Lacey is a perky terrier mix with enough sass and smarts to run a small country (or at least your living room). She came to AFRP after needing emergency surgery to remove a 26-inch shoelace she thought was a snack. Lesson learned: shoes are for walking, not eating.

Now fully recovered, Lacey is living her best life. She's playful, clever, and maybe just a tiny bit stubborn (okay, a lot stubborn). She absolutely loves having a small dog buddy to keep her company, because every queen needs a sidekick.

But let's be real: Lacey knows what she wants. She's not a fan of big dogs, she's shy at first with new people, and she's got some Olympic-level jumping skills-so a super secure yard is a must. She's also got a history of pica (aka "I eat things I shouldn't"), so her forever family will need to keep an eye on her inner vacuum cleaner.

Lacey's dream home? An experienced, adult-only family who understands small dogs with big personalities, can redirect her diva moments, and will give her tons of attention and love. In return, you'll get endless laughs, snuggles, and the best little sidekick ever.

** This pet is a Foster-to-Adopt candidate!

That means you can foster them for a short trial period to make sure they're the perfect match for your home before finalizing the adoption. If you're interested, please complete both a foster application and an adoption application so we can get the process started. **

Lacey is currently in a loving foster home. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been submitted and approved by AFRP staff. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org to fill one out today!
