Love was in the air and Lacey met a strong, handsome, young dog named Cagney. Soon she was pregnant. Right before Lacey was ready to give birth, this young couple struck out on their own (or were dumped in the country) in a quest to find a place for their puppies to be born. They were picked up by Animal Control and landed in a rural SC high-kill shelter. While a shelter is no place to give birth, it is there that Lacey delivered 8 puppies. Sadly, some did not survive the harsh realities of shelter life.
She is a sweet, playful girl. This is an easy-going girl who gets along with other dogs. Lacey is crate-trained and likes to hang out in her crate She has very good house manners.
Could Lacey be a match for you? She will repay you with a lifetime of love, kisses, and hugs! Please apply to adopt Lacey today.
The adoption fee for this dog is $300, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter. Some animals cost more than others to rescue, so our adult animal adoption fees range from $275-$350. The adoption fee imposed for each animal is based on: fees paid to the shelter, vetting costs, transport costs, and boarding costs.
Be sure to ask us about getting a free 30-minute phone consult with a professional dog trainer within the first 30 days of adopting - just for HT adopters. Start your new dog out on the right foot with this valuable, expert advice and guidance FREE!

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out information about fostering on our website at http://www.homewardtrails.org/foster-a-pet/pet-foster-forms/.
Thank you for contacting Homeward Trails Animal Rescue and helping to save a life!
