Kyanite's Story
Meet Kyanite! A four year old blue dober-dork! Kya is a great dog, with a lot of love to give! He does sometimes demand attention with his single paw though (one reason his last family gave him up they said!) Kyanite is a lazier boy; who enjoys naps and cuddles. Leash manners need some improvement but he does better with a prong collar. He knows basic obedience commands, and is house trained (however we have had some mild marking from time to time; however we have a lot of dogs visiting and coming and going. This was not an issue in his last home). Kyanite is crate trained but does not seem to need one (hasn’t been crated in 5 months here). He has shown some mild resource guarding (growled, held toy, growled more, ran off with toy) of bones to a senior person in the home, so bones and toys were removed from his life unless specifically allowed in special moments just in case, this is something a family needs to be aware of. Kyanite would do best in a home with female dogs but does do well with most non-dominant male dogs. He is used to dogs ranging from 15-100lbs in large quantities. He does have the typical blue Doberman coat (baldish) but no known allergies. Unfortunately he is heartworm positive (slight) and we have opted for the slow kill method, it is mandatory his new family maintains heart guard monthly for life (with any dog anyway!) kyanite is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and in good health! If your family is interested in adding a mild dober-dork to your family; please send us an email explaining a bit about your family, and we will send over an application for pre approval, if approved we will schedule a meet and greet. Standard adoption fee of $400 applies, fenced in yard required
