Krista's Story

Meet your new little buddy, Krista!

Krista is a chihuahua mix that was found as a stray. She's estimated to be around 10. She's been so lovely since the day we pulled her from the shelter, here is some of what her foster has had to say about her:

"She is surprisingly playful and active for an older lady. She LOVES playing with a ball, and does great with other dogs, particularly smaller dogs - from what I've seen so far she is initially nervous around bigger dogs, but does get over it after a few meetings.

She needs to lose a few pounds and is very food-focused as a result of her diet. She seems to be house-trained and doggy-door trained, though she did have one accident at a friend's house (none at mine so far).

She is very happy being in a crate and often goes there even when the door is open, just as a safe space, but in general, she wants to follow her person wherever they are, and ALWAYS be either on or next to them. She doesn't shed much at all though she does have a small amount of dandruff which does seem to be clearing up as she gets less stressed. She also very easily lets me brush her and clip her nails. I have so far only seen limited interactions with small children where she did fine, and haven't yet seen her with a cat, but no reason to think there would be an issue. She is one of the easiest fosters I've ever had!"

Krista is vaccinated, microchipped and recently had her dental cleaning. Her adoption fee is $150. If you're interested in learning more about her, send us a text 385.244.0431. Or if you're ready to meet her, fill out our adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GBF/Dog
